We are delighted to invite you to visit our timber cladding showroom. Opened in 2025, this new facility offers a space for architects, clients, joiners and building developers to come and discover more about our Shou Sugi Ban® charred cladding range.

View Charred Timber Cladding on a Larger Scale

Having mastered the ancient Japanese wood preservation technique, yakisugi, our team have developed a broad product range. We illustrate our selection of timbers, finishes and in a downloadable website brochure. In addition, we supply samples to help clients compare the options. However, there is value in seeing a larger section of the timbers installed as cladding.

That’s what we offer when you visit our timber cladding showroom. All internal and external surfaces are clad in sections to showcase our range. As a result, you can:

  • See the natural variation in the grain of wood and colour finishes.
  • Touch the timbers to understand the textural qualities from smooth, to grained and traditional deep crackled.
  • Understand whether you have a preference for vertical, horizontal, or diagonal installation.
  • Compare the options or consider which could be paired to create a two-toned effect.
  • View timbers that have been exposed to British weather conditions.

We want you to feel inspired and gain a deeper understanding of how Shou Sugi Ban® timbers can elevate your architectural designs.

Benefit From a Consultative Showroom Experience

Another benefit of visiting our timber showroom is a consultative experience. Bring your clients, your architect and your joiners. You’ll gain technical advice, product knowledge and information on the yakisugi process.

We discuss responsible sourcing, timber applications, cladding installation, fittings and maintenance. This promotes open discussion with all involved, so any concerns are ironed out at the planning stage.

In addition, you’ll see examples of architectural projects that have integrated Shou Sugi Ban® timber cladding. These include RIBA award-winning properties, public buildings, barn conversions and heritage restorations.

By answering your questions, you gain confidence in us as an established UK manufacturer and supplier. We aim to equip you to make informed decisions on which construction materials to use in your build.

Where is the Shou Sugi Ban® Showroom?

Our showroom is located in Buckinghamshire, between Aylesbury and Tring on the A41. It is on the same site as our offices and workshop, so we can call on any member of the team to talk with visitors.

We ask all visitors to call us: 01494 711800 to book an appointment to visit. Our showroom opening hours are 9am to 4pm on weekdays.

An Incentive to Visit Our Timber Cladding Showroom

To mark the opening of our new showroom and 15 years in operation, we are offering an incentive. If you are one of the next 15 visitors to place an order following a showroom appointment, we’ll include a box of 200 headed stainless steel screws with your delivery. These are recommended for installation, as they are not visible and do not corrode, which prevents unsightly rust streaks. The screws are worth £50, which helps cover your travel costs.
